This anthology film based off a Stephen King book has 3 stories all loosely connected by a cat.
My favorite of the stories has to be the first story, Quitters, Inc. Dick Morrison's friend suggested using Quitters, Inc to quit smoking. The company has some unorthodox methods to help quitters. First Dick was shown a room rigged to shock anyone in the room who is standing on the floor. There is a cat in the room who is eating some food from his bowl when all of a sudden music starts to play and the floor becomes electrified and continues to sporadically shock the cat when it touches the floor. The Quitters, Inc rep states that the first time he smokes a cigarette he will send someone to kidnap his wife and put her in the room, 2nd time his 8 year old daughter, and 3rd time he will send someone to rape his wife. There is something about this rep that makes you believe that everything he says is true.
The 2nd story, involves a big time gambler who bets that the stray cat he sees trying to cross the las vegas strip will live, while his friend bets the cat will die. $2k is at stake. The story follows the gambler back to his hotel where he and his goons terrorize a man by making him walk the ledge of his hotel around the whole building.
Lastly a story about a little girls struggle with keeping a stray cat against her mother's will. The mother goes as far as taking the cat to the pound, but somehow the cat escapes and returns to the little girl. This part of the anthology takes a turn for the weird when a troll comes to attack the girl in her sleep.
