Truman a young man in his 30's who goes to work, loves his wife, spends time with his best friend hitting golf balls off the bridge. He's a normal guy except that his whole life since he was a young boy he has been secretly filmed and is a star of a tv reality show. Since his fathers death by drowning Truman is scared to leave his town by boat which is the main way off the island. One day something snaps in Truman and he is determined to get off the island.
