After Max reunites with Charlie at a high school reunion, and comes to the realization that their lives are nothing liked they had originally planned. Max decides to max out his credit cards on cash advances and fake his and Charlie's death. At first Charlie doesn't want to go along with it, but after seeing how quickly his wife and children have moved on, he decides to go all in. The two take over the identities of the real bodies that were used to fake their deaths. Max found a safety deposit box belonging to his dead body and trace it back to Puerto Rico. So off they go to live their new lives, the safety deposit box contains keys to a house on the island. The only problem is the previous owner is wanted dead by some very bad people.
