Daniel moved to California with his mother is bullied at school by Johnny a karate student. Johnny is a member of the Cobra Kai dojo where he learns karate, but his instructor teaches his students to fight and be aggressive. After being bullied and beaten up several times the superintendent at Daniel's apartment complex sees what is going on and decides to teach him karate. Only the superintendent Mr. Miyagi has unorthodox methods of teaching. Daniel and Mr. Miyagi go to the Cobra Kai dojo and challenge Johnny to a Karate match at the upcoming tournament.
I grew up with Karate Kid not that bullshit with Will Smith's son, this was a proper karate film. I would wear the bandana and practice my crane kick in the backyard with my friends. Mr. Miyagi's humor cracks me up and although inappropriate he did give an underage kid alcohol, what was that all about?
