Jack Frost a serial killer is on his way to be executed is being transferred to Snowmonton, but before he gets there the prison van gets in an accident, with a genetics truck carrying some experimental liquid. Jack gets covered with the liquid and his body melts and his dna fuses with the snow. When Jack was captured he swore revenge on the sheriff who caught him. Well Jack returns as a snowman, and is terrorizing Snowmonton, working his way up to killing the Sheriff.
While watching some extras on the disc, it was mentioned that the crew went to colorado during January to shoot in the snow, unfortunately it was one of the warmest winters and there was no snow. Snow was brought in and cotton was put on the ground to resemble snow.
